In 2013, Epson acquired K-Sun Corporation and rebranded all of the new K-Sun models as Epson LabelWorks PX printers. The new LabelWorks PX tapes are manufactured for LabelWorks PX printers and are backwards compatible with older K-Sun printers.

Legacy K-Sun printers can take advantage of newly updated PX tape cartridges which are fully compatible with all K-Sun printers. Epson added the PX suffix to the original SKU to help make it easy to order the correct PX tape for your K-Sun LabelShop printer.
